THE MAKEUP REVOLUTION HIGHLIGHT PALETTE

Yesterday I saw this beauty in Superdrug and I had to pick it up. I needed a new highlighter and I set out to buy one of the highly rated Vivid Baked Highlighters from Makeup Revolution. But when I saw this palette where you can get all three of the shades in one place I had to pick it up. This palette retails for £8 and each of the single highlighters are £4 so effectively you are getting one for free.

The finish of each of these highlighters are so pretty. They are iridescent so they create a subtle sheen without any random bits of glitter. This is personally my favourite way for a highlighter to look. I think that the palette is nice to have but the shades only subtly differ from each other. I highly recommend that you invest in one of them though, my personal favourite is the pink toned shade in the centre, this is because it is the most natural of the three.

NEW TO THE SHELVES | L'ORÉAL

This mascara is amazing! I've wanted to try a fibre mascara for a long time now but they are all so expensive. So when I saw a drugstore alternative I was really happy. It's a double ended wand, on one side there's a white primer for the fibre mascara on the other side, this actually dries grey so I have used this on its own for a more natural look. The fibre mascara is great, completely jet black and really volumises and lengthens.
Sorry for the bad quality but this was the finished result!

This next product is the Brow Artist Plumper. It's another fibre based product which I love the formula of. I have the shade Light/Medium which is a very good match to the shade of my brows but it is quite warm toned. I have cool toned brows so it's not a perfect match but with a light hand it looks great.
This is the Colour Riche Les Ombres in Luminous Golden Black. This is the luminous formulation of their eyeshadows which is one of my favourites. The finish has a sheen but with little glitter. These shades are perfect because they are the simple everyday warm toned neutrals. There are also some darker colours to create a slightly more evening look.
Here is the finished look! I love all of these products and I will definitely be trying other shades from the eye palette collection!

A Makeup Spring Clean// Some Spring Empties

I have another round of empties!
My Rimmel Wake Me Up foundation in Ivory has served me well and I'm sure that I'll be re purchasing in the future. However, I have replaced it with the Rimmel Radiance BB Cream in Light. I chose this because I wanted a lighter coverage for the summer months and the BB Cream has a higher SPF than the foundation so it will be perfect in the summer.

The Body Shop Elderflower eye gel was the first eye gel that I have ever tried. I was always into eye creams because they are so moisturising but after trying this eye gel I have been converted! This eye gel much more cooling than any other eye cream I have tried and I feel like it's more firming. Also it was incredibly cheap for a good eye gel.
I have finished my third bottle of the Simple Cleansing Lotion! I go through these so quickly but it's ok because they are only £2.19! I talk more about this in my last post, it was all about the Simple skincare range so give it a read if you haven't already :) This is my all time favourite drugstore cleanser!

Another product from The Body Shop that I have finished this month is the Tea Tree Skin Clearing Toner. They say that this is for blemished skin but I think this is good for any oily skin type because it contains tea tree which helps to clear the skin and dry out some of the oils. This toner really helped clear my skin!
The last empty is an essential, my Sally Hansen polish remover ran out. This one does the job well and for the price it is great but it can be a little drying on my cuticles. So I have replaced it with the moisturising version and I am liking it better.

Budget Beauty Buys | Simple

I am a firm lover of the Simple skincare range their products are so good and so cheap! Having repurchased most of these products many times they are firm staples in my skincare collection and routine.

The purifying cleansing lotion has been my favorite cleanser for ages, it leaves my skin feeling clean and keeps it hydrated. I've been repurchasing it for ages and i'm on my third bottle. I'ts so cheap as well, £2.19!

The toner water is the perfect product to accompany the cleanser, it's an extra step that I find is vital in my skincare routine. It adds extra moisture to your skin but also makes it feel even cleaner.

£2.19

These facial wipes used to be a staple in my skincare collection before I discovered the cleanser however I still love to use them if I'm in a lazy makeup removing mood (which happens to all of us at some point or another, doesn't it?)

£3.49

I have to admit, this eye makeup remover isn't my favourite for removing heavy eye makeup because it is so gentle, however I still use this on days when I am just wearing eyeliner and mascara and it's great for that!

Simple make lots of different types of moisturiser, I have the the hydrating and the protecting versions. The protecting version is similar to the hydrating one but it has an SPF of 15. I personally prefer the hydrating version because its slightly more moisturising and it's nicer to use at night.

Protecting: http://www.boots.com/en/Simple-Kind-To-Skin-Protecting-Light-Moisturiser-SPF-15-UVA-UVB-125ml_1381994/ £6.99

Hydrating: http://www.boots.com/en/Simple-Hydrating-Light-Moisturiser-50ml_955955/
£1.50
